Peoria System
| The Peoria System is a sort of 1-day handicapping system for tournament in which most of the golfers do not have real handicap
indexes. |
|
| Players tee off and complete their rounds, playing stroke play and scoring in the normal fashion with one exception: double par is
the maximum (i.e. 8 is the maximum score on a par-4). |
|
| The tournament committee will draw 6 holes from 18 holes no matter par 3, par 4 or par 5 and totalled these six holes. The total is
multiplied by 3, par is subtracted from that total; then the resulting number is multiplied by 80 percent. This is the player’s allowance
(handicap), The allowance is subtracted from the player’s gross score and the result is the net Peoria System score. |

| Peoria is sometimes called Bankers System or a Bankers Handicap. |
|
| Please designate one player to score each hole of the gross score for all partners. All players need to sign off the score card at the
end of the play. |
|
| For speed of play, players are required to pick up their balls if they have already played Par + 2 strokes (after which they can't score
any more points). If one partner fails to complete the play of a hole, there is no penalty. |
|
| Max. Handicap allowed for the competition is 28 for Men and 36 for Ladies. |
|
| Players are not required to calculate their Peoria System net scores. This will be done by the tournament committee. |
